Las Vegas

Author Lewis Kimberly and her literary companion, Granny McFanny, headed to Robert Taylor in Henderson.

Kimberly, author of the children's book "Granny McFanny" spoke with students at Robert Taylor about the writing process and what it means to be an author. Kimberly went through a Power Point presentation for two assemblies -- which included the entire student body at Taylor.

Following the presentation, Kimberly called on her literary heroine, Granny McFanny, to help animate her story. The author read the story while, BookPAL and actor Leslie Ortega, wowed the crowd by acting out the parts.

Following the presentation, Kimberly took questions from the audience. The author and Granny then posed for pictures with students.
