After BookPAL Stephanie Montalvo of Ft. Lauderdale read The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats to children at Oakridge Elementary in Hollywood, the children lavished her with their beautiful artwork.

BookPAL Bill Cordell of Ocoee received lots of sweet thank you letters from the children he read to this year. And thanks to a very generous donation from First Book, some of the children in our program were able to receive books as gifts from their BookPALS.Here's what they had to say about it.

THANK YOU, NATALIE, FOR THIS FABULOUS NEWSLETTER!! You set an example that is hard to follow yet wonderful to aspire to. You are a TERRIFIC LEADER AND LOVELY PERSON. I am SOOOOOO GLAD that I am a member of FLORIDA BOOKPALS/PENCILPALS !!!! The returns from being active in these programs go far beyond the effort that we, as volunteers, must expend to be members.
