Our volunteer PencilPALS were treated to an array of international foods that students brought in to celebrate the end of year PencilPALS party at PS 255 in Brooklyn. Mrs. Kaplan and Mrs. Lesser’s 4th grade ICT class wrote letters to the adults monthly during the school year. As a cluminating activity, voice over actress and volunteer Barbara McCullough read aloud an excerpt from Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate Dicamillo and the group wrote/illustratded ten things that they learned about each other in the writing process. Thank you PS 255 for another wonderful year of letter writing!
