The students from Mrs. Esposito’s 5th grade class at PS 16 in Queens traveled to the SAG-AFTRA offices last month. Jeffrey Bennett, a BookPALS volunteer and staff member at SAG-AFTRA, took the class where he reads regularly to his office. They were “directors for the day” in the SAG-AFTRA boardroom discussing how they might shoot a feature of their favorite book. Specific topics discussed were: story, location, cost and casting. One of the students asked Jeff what the maximum cost is to make a movie. Jeff responded that the sky is the limit!
Jeffrey is pictured guiding the students in the discussion.
