The year end PencilPALS party at Princeton Elementary was a huge hit! Students got to meet their PencilPALS in person after writing all year long. The event featured a PencilPALS puzzler (students had to guess their PencilPAL from a “lineup”, using a written, physical description), a recitation of the Writer’s Oath, a special sharing of a wordless picture book, and some Storyline Online readings! Our successful book drive fundraiser with dd’s Discounts on International Drive and First Book allowed us to gift books to some of Florida’s most deserving children at Catalina and Grand Avenue Elementary. Books were wrapped, adorned with candy canes, Storyline Online bookmarks and bows and presented to the students after some wonderful read alouds by dd’s Discounts store manager, Christine Stevens and her wonderful staff members.
