On May 11, 2013 the Screen Actors Guild Foundation 20 Years Of BookPALS celebration was held at West Hollywood City Council Chambers in West Hollywood, California with a live celebrity reading followed by a kid’s party with balloons and desserts for everyone who attended. For the first time BookPALS was given a booth at the 3rd Annual LA Times Festival of Books on the USC campus April20-21st. We covered lots of bases! An Interactive Storyline Online booth was set up with three laptops so kids could sample our videos. A few of our dedicated BookPALS read live to enthusiastic SoCal kids on pillows set up on the ground under the tent. We had lots of coloring pages, crayons, and glitter for the kids to enjoy.
