On a December 18th air date, The Big Spin honored Barbara Bain, founder of BookPALS, with their “Hero in Education” Award. Kurtwood Smith most recently from That 70’s Show presented her with this tribute for not only establishing this venerable organization but also for her dedication by reading weekly for over 10 years at Grape Street Elementary School in Watts.
