All across the national capital area, public school student's enjoyed listening to stories by Dr. Seuss. From Rockville, Maryland to Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, Dr. Seuss' birthday was celebrated.
At Piney Branch Elementary School in Takoma Park, Maryland, students were read to by BookPALS, police officers, fire fighters and parents. The principal, Mr. G, read, The Cat in the Hat to the entire school over the PA system.
BookPAL Jimmy Whalen reads to Ms. Weaver's fourth grade class.
Yvonne Erickson reads to Ms. Baldi's third grade class. The students brought in pillows and stuffed animals for storytime.
Students in Mrs. Barnes' fourth grade class enjoy sodas and two stories read by BookPAL Michael Jones.
