Congratulations to Mr. Bob Harter for being honored as BookPAL of the Month for January 2008!

Bob Harter, Atlanta BookPAL Since 2001
Bob is one of Atlanta's most respected actors, working frequently on-camera. He is also in demand as a voice-over artist, known for his many celebrity impressions and character voices. Bob's feature films include: "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett, directed by David Fincher; "Death Sentence," starring Kevin Bacon and Kelly Preston, directed by James Wan; "Simpatico," with Jeff Bridges, Nick Nolte, and Sharon Stone; "Stroke of Genius," with James Caviezel; and he worked with director Michael Mann on "The Insider." He has appeared on TV in "I'll Fly Away," "Savannah," the USA Network movie, "Web of Deceit," and in a recurring role on TNN's "I-40 Paradise." Bob is a familiar face on many regional and national commercials, including an ad for Miller Genuine Draft lensed by Ridley Scott.
Being an expert on ear prompter and teleprompter has also kept Bob busy as a corporate spokesperson. Performing for military audiences on three national tours with Della Cole has been a highlight of his career. Bob began coaching actors privately, then teamed with Della to do intensive weekend workshops. Demand from their students led to the creation of yourACT (www.youract.tv). The husband and wife team also continue to work together as co-producers and performers in Sketchworks (www.sketchworkscomedy.com), Atlanta's premiere sketch comedy troupe.
Bob has been reading at McLendon Elementary School in Decatur, Georgia, since he joined the Atlanta BookPALS Program in 2001. Please join me in congratulating Mr. Bob Harter for his outstanding service and dedication to the Atlanta BookPALS children!
